What paperwork do I need to
donate my vehicle in Virginia?
In most cases we need the
title to the vehicle. But, if you do not have title papers you
can apply for a replacement title before donating your vehicle.

What types of vehicles require a
title in Virginia?
The following types of vehicles
do NOT require a title in Virginia: Snowmobiles and ATVs.
Where do I sign the title before
donating my car in Virginia?

On the front of the title in
Section A, sign your name, provide the name and address of the
buyer/recipient and the odometer reading of the vehicle. If
you are donating the vehicle, write "charitable gift" as the
sale price on the title.
